Walk in the footprints of African Americans in Minnesota and the Midwest and explore a rich and vibrant history filled with surprises.
MAAM features more than 6,500 square feet of exhibition space that houses an amazing array of educational experiences and exhibits. The journey begins on the welcoming front porch of the glorious Coe Mansion and continues with rotating hands-on and participatory exhibits on the first floor.
The second floor showcases Minnesota North Star Pioneers and the third floor is the Children's World Gallery. This interactive learning and play space includes a reading lounge, library, high-tech touch screen exhibits and unique artifacts that kids will love to explore.
